His Holiness, Shri Gurubasava Mahaswamiji of Bilur, founded Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha in the year 1906, which, in 1963, took up the task of managing the affairs of the college.

The college Alumni Association has its chapters in Bangalore, Goa (Goa), Maharashtra (Pune) and AP (Hyderabad).

The library is housed in a spacious building of plinth area of 1300 sq meters with a collection of over 52, 000 volumes related to all the branches of Science and Engineering.

The college has two hostels, Vishveshwaraih Hostel and Netaji Hostel with capacities of 336 and 300 respectively.

The college campus has an auditorium and a conference hall with seating capacities of 350 and 100 respectively.
